Action for Happiness - Exploring What Matters The Action for Happiness movement was founded in 2011 and brings together like-minded people from all walks of life and help them take practical action, drawing on the latest scientific research. It is backed by leading experts from diverse fields including psychology, education, economics and social innovation. “I wholeheartedly support the Exploring What Matters course and hope that many thousands will benefit from it and be inspired to take their own action to create a better world.” The Dalai Lama, patron of Action for Happiness We have been hosting the eight week 'Exploring What Matters' programme, which helps local people: Meet with like-minded people to explore what really matters in life and find new ways of looking at things. Learn from experts through videos, mindfulness exercises and handbook full of resources to help you break big ideas into manageable chunks. Take small actions each week by taking time to reflect on how to create happiness for yourself and those around you. Everyone who joins the course makes a donation of their choice directly to the Action for Happiness movement, so the course is available to anyone, no matter their financial circumstances.
