The Action for Happiness movement was founded in 2011 and brings together like-minded people from all walks of life and help them take practical action, drawing on the latest scientific research.  1point supports the movement by hosting the eight week programme giving people the chance to meet friendly, like-minded people and find simple ways to make life happier.  The course is backed by leading experts from diverse fields including psychology, education, economics and social innovation.

We have been hosting the eight week 'Exploring What Matters' programme, which helps local people:

  • Meet with like-minded people to explore what really matters in life and find new ways of looking at things.
  • Learn from experts through videos, mindfulness exercises and handbook full of resources to help you break big ideas into manageable chunks.
  • Take small actions each week by taking time to reflect on how to
    create happiness for yourself and those around you.

It has become easier to make changes to the way I think and the things I do.

I feel very encouraged to have met such interesting people.

Everyone who joins the course makes a donation of their choice directly to the Action for Happiness movement, so the course is available to anyone, no matter their circumstances.
