Become a Silverwellbeing Helpdesk team member Do you have three or four hours free a week or a month? Are you are interested in helping people find out more about support in the community and beyond? If the answer is yes to any of these questions we'd like to talk to you about becoming a member of the Silverwellbeing Helpdesk team. Become a volunteer counsellor or psychotherapist The 1point network believes that counselling should be easily accessible to all who wish to benefit from a talking therapy. Based on this belief we encourage and support up to 160 practitioners per year to help us deliver professional psychological services to local people. 1point members offer places to trainee counsellors and psychotherapists who require practical experience to complete their qualifications. We also welcome the contribution of trained practitioners who offer their time freely to not only gain more experience, but be part of a thriving network of therapeutic support for our whole community. In return our voluntary team members are provided with out of pocket expenses, support towards clinical supervision, professional membership fees, and access to ongoing low-cost CPD training. Become an independent board member with 1point or one of its member organisations The 1point Board consists of representatives of our member organisations and independent members who act together to govern the central agency's key functions. We are looking for additional trustees/directors to join us at this exciting stage of our development and would be particularly interested in talking to people who have experience in financial strategy, digital marketing and IT development and promotion across all sectors. This is a voluntary role, but we provide out of pocket expenses and an opportunity to develop new contacts, skills and experience. The successful candidate will have: Excellent office IT skills with specific experience in inputting, collating and analysing CRM software. Experience of liaising in person, on the telephone and online with individual clients and organisations. Ability to manage own workload independently and within a multi-disciplinary team setting. Primarily the role provides a comprehensive initial assessment, but also may include carrying a small caseload of ongoing clients. The successful candidates will have: A Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling/Psychotherapy or equivalent. Experience of working with a wide range of generic clients in a range of different therapeutic environments. Confidence in working remotely (telephone and online) with clients. Experience of providing clinical assessments or short term focused therapies. Experience of using IT systems to support clinical administration requirements.
