Anne Turner About me: 'I'm a qualified and experienced counsellor with over 25 years experience within different health and social care settings. It is during times of challenge that we sometimes need someone alongside us and the time, space and place of safety in which to do this. I work systemically with children, adults, couples and families and have a depth and breadth of experience within the fields of palliative care/bereavement, child and adolescent mental health, fostering, adoption and EMDR therapy for help with trauma and PTSD. My focus is on the therapeutic relationship and working in ways that help you positively change. Experience and qualifications: I have worked within palliative care and bereavement in hospice and community settings; for the NHS at practitioner and senior levels as a child and adolescent mental health worker. This work has given me a solid background in working with risk and addressing safeguarding isuues. After serving in the armed forces for 27 years I have a vast amount of experience in a range of situations and issues. I provide face to face therapy for individuals and couples, and telephone counselling. I use an integrative approach which includes a person-centred foundation and solution focused skills. I also conduct group supervision, tutor on a counselling course and mentor local university students.
