Understanding My Feelings

1point’s trained therapists provide one to one counselling tailored to the individual they are working with.

They provide the time and space for you to explore your problems by considering how your personality and life experiences influence your current feelings and the ways you are coping with life’s challenges. This unique and confidential relationship helps people gain a new level of understanding, which can help you manage change and deal with difficult situations in the future.

We make a clear distinction between mental illness and mental distress, which most of us experience when we live through situations appearing to be beyond our control. Having a trusting and respectful relationship with a skilled practitioner during these times is an important way of identifying our strengths and taking control of our lives again.

Good to know

This service is part of 1point’s suite of confidential and independently managed talking therapy support created to improve wellbeing and resilience across all our communities.  These therapeutic services are available for people and organisations who would prefer to directly access support and do not need a referral from a GP or health care worker first.

Current funding allows us to offer most services free of charge to Bolton residents, but we welcome donations to help the 1point Network continue this valuable support.  If you do not qualify for free therapy, we still may be able to help you access alternative support.
